Conversion of a run-down 96 room two star hotel into a 68 room four star hotel set within six terraces of a period row in Kensington. The project involved a complex structural and services co-ordination exercise within a confined environment, crumbling building envelope and stringent planning controls. Alongside the hotel rooms the scheme created a new reception, lounge and bar at ground level, a new restaurant and conservatory dining room, along with conference and business facilities, gym, housekeeping, staff and plant spaces at basement level. The interior styling uses a neutral palate with strong accent colours and bold furniture for a feeling of contemporary opulence.
